I am assistant professor at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina in 2014. My areas of specialization include international relations, international conflicts, East Asian politics, and research methodology. My research focuses on how to solve the potential military conflicts among the democratic and nondemocratic countries, especially in East and Northeast Asia. I also have strong research interests in foreign policy analysis. Please check this website for more information about myself. My work has appeared in Asian Survey, Asian Perspective, American Journal of Chinese Studies, University of Maryland Press, and Fudan Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences. My current book project explains the key defining attributes and description of hedging as a strategy that is distinguishable from pure balancing and bandwagoning in East Asia.
